True ceremony- what I call Living Ceremony- is ALIVE with intention, purpose, deep feelings and authentic expression.  This type of ceremony is actually a form of energy medicine, for it helps us to embody a deep inner change as we cross the threshold of this rite of passage: the declaration of our commitment of marriage.

The process of creating your original, unique ceremony is a journey of sweet communion with your beloved, bringing you both closer together as you prepare for your new chapter. It is a journey of self-reflection, of visioning your lives together, of deepening connection and communication.  Through deep dialogue and exploration, we bring to light your shared values, commitments, and intentions for your life together.  This awareness illuminates a clear and powerful vision for your marriage, which then can be authentically expressed in your original vows and ceremonial rituals.  

In the process of creating a Living Ceremony, we never pick traditional rituals out of a hat or select readings “just because”. Instead, every single part of the ceremony has a purpose: it expresses your intentions and shares your vision for your marriage.  We begin with a journey of discovering and clarifying these most powerful intentions, and from this clarity we craft the words and rituals of your unique ceremony.

How does it work? 

1. Apply

I want to know more about the ceremony you are dreaming of! Fill out the application below so that I can get to know you. I have limited availability for wedding ceremonies and we want to make sure that we’re fully aligned in creating your unique, authentic wedding ceremony.

2. Free Connection Call

Once I review you application, we’ll have a connection call! This free 30 minute, no obligation call gives all of us a chance to get to know each other and see if we are a good fit.  You can pepper me with questions and share with me all about your vision for your wedding.  On this call I can share with you more of the details and we can craft a ceremony design package that fulfills your unique dreams and desires!

3. Visioning & Design Sessions

Once we have created your personal package, we get to the fun part- visioning and designing your ceremony!  On these series of calls, we explore all your ideas and intentions.  My magic is to listen deeply and energetically attune to the essence of your commitments and to your authentic language.  In between sessions I begin to write parts of the ceremony based on our conversations, and then share them with you to fine tune.  We continue this process until the ceremony feels complete, authentic and and absolutely aligned.  

4. Wedding Officiation

The big day! Your wedding officiation package includes rehearsal, and complete officiation on your wedding day, including presiding at the reception if desired.  There are many options to make this personal and unique!  Filing of all legal paperwork is of course included as well.

- Sacred Sound Awakening

This profound sound healing experience supports deep healing, relaxation, nervous system regulation, and inner remembrance.  Many find the experience of working with Sacred Sound supports deep connection and communion with your higher self and spirit guides.  We work with singing bowls, awakened voice, drum, rattle, flute, etc.  This can be a 1:1, couple, or group experience.  The Sacred Sound Awakening is a powerful way to create deep grounding and centering as you approach the big day, helping to release stress and stay present and connected with your love, joy and highest intentions.  

- Soul Alchemy Session.  

This 1:1 private session supports your spiritual journey of self-discovery, healing, and preparation for marriage.  The Soul Alchemy session draws on all the tools in my toolbag, and can include: deep listening, spiritual mentoring, sound healing, energetic alignment (aura & chakra clearing, etc.), shamanic journeying, communication with your guides/angels, medicine songs, tools for energetic self care and self awareness, and sacred witnessing.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • No worries! That’s where I come in. One of my special gifts is the talent for translating your deep feelings into authentic language to express your values & commitments. I do this through an intuitive and energetically guided process of deep listening and “reading” your energy field while you discuss with your partner about your feelings, desires, vision and intentions for your marriage. When you field “lights up”, I know we are on to some of the most important keys to expressing your most heartfelt and authentic intentions. I take copious notes during our sessions, taking careful documentation of your natural language and turns of phrase, so that the words of your ceremony are natural and authentic to you. Your only job to reflect, share and explore with your beloved- I’ll do the writing part. Then each week, I share with you what I’ve written, and you can help to refine it by letting me know what is aligned and what isn’t. Through this collaborative process we create a ceremony that you love, that feels absolutely natural, true and authentic. The process is completely magical- and absolutely failsafe!

  • Yes! It is essential that both partners commit to attending each session of the ceremony design process. This ceremony is an expression of your heartfelt intentions, personal values and authentic essence- so we need YOU there! The ceremony design process is fun and collaborative, and couples find it a beautiful way to deepen connection and vision. In order for this to happen, it does require that you take the time for self-reflection and for communication during our sessions. This is a required commitment for application acceptance.

  • Usually we need to meet 5-6 times to complete the ceremony design process, with possible followups over email for final edits. Sessions typically are held a week or two apart, to allow time for writing and reflection between meetings. Session lengths vary: the first two sessions (Visioning Sessions) are typically longer, often lasting 90 minutes to two hours. The later sessions (Design Sessions) or typically shorter, usually an hour or less. My recommendation is to begin your ceremony design process 3-4 months before the wedding, so you have plenty of time and aren’t rushed.

  • I am located in northeast Connecticut, USA. I am available to officiate ceremonies locally, and on occasion (schedule allowing), I am available to officiate farther away (additional travel expenses apply). Additionally, I am available to help you design your custom wedding ceremony even if I do not officiate in person at your wedding. Because we meet over zoom, I can help couples to create a unique wedding ceremony from anywhere in the world.

  • Depending on scheduling availability, I can sometimes accommodate an “SOS” ceremony design process at an accelerated rate. This incurs an additional fee for expedition. If you require this level of service, please make a note of this in your application.

  • Yes! I bring to this work more than 30 years of study and practice in energy healing, guided meditation, sound healing, shamanic practice, cacao ceremony, spiritual guidance, and many other modalities that facilitate healing and transformation. I have many offerings- from private sessions to couples cacao ceremony to group sound healings- that can support a deeper spiritual journey and preparation for marriage. This is a beautiful and powerful process. We can create a custom package, specially designed to support you in all the ways you desire. This is so fun! When we meet on our zoom connection call, you can share with me about your desires and vision, and I can share with you about the offerings that could support that. Together we can create exactly the deep dive you are looking for!

  • No. While I am a deeply spiritual person with a lifetime of study in many spiritual paths and practices, I do not impose my personal beliefs on your ceremony. In fact, you don’t need to be spiritual or religious at all to enjoy the benefits and beauty of a personal, unique, authentic wedding ceremony! Our ceremony design process is a journey of self-reflection and exploration of YOUR personal beliefs, values, intentions and vision for your marriage and life together. The ceremony we create reflects- in words and actions- your true feelings and genuine commitments. Whatever your beliefs and practices, they will naturally be expressed in your personal ceremony. Your wedding ceremony belongs to YOU: it is a unique expression of your shared vision and commitments.

  • Yes! You don’t need to be spiritual or religious at all to enjoy the benefits and beauty of a personal, unique, authentic wedding ceremony! Our ceremony design process is a journey of self-reflection and exploration of YOUR personal beliefs, values, intentions and vision for your marriage and life together. The ceremony we create reflects- in words and actions- your true feelings and genuine commitments. Your wedding ceremony belongs to YOU: it is a unique expression of your shared vision and commitments.

  • Yes! Absolutely. I offer a wedding ceremony design package without officiation, available at a reduced rate. Because we meet over zoom, I can help couples to create a unique wedding ceremony from anywhere in the world. This package includes a meeting with your officiant to go over your ceremony and help familiarize them with your vision.

  • Never, never! At no time will I impose my own views or beliefs onto your marriage or ceremony; everything spoken at the ceremony will be approved by you and be in alignment with your values, beliefs, and natural language. This is YOUR day, and should be a reflection of who you both are and what you value. It is my profound intention to help you create a ceremony that is truly authentic, one that is a very personal, meaningful and natural expression of your real feelings and intentions.

  • That’s awesome! It’s fabulous to be generating ideas and working on creating your ceremony! Absolutely we will draw on all your vision, ideas and language to continue crafting your ceremony together. And no, I do not ever “just write the ceremony” on my own. How could I? It is created out of your intentions, your feelings, your values- it is an expression of each of you and your shared relationship. Our ceremony design process is always collaborative. I guide you through a deep and fun journey of self-reflection, helping you both to become more clear on your vision for marriage and what you are truly committing to and creating together. Out of this clarity we create a ceremony that reflects this vision. My talent is for facilitating this process, noticing your natural language, picking up on your key themes, and downloading original ceremony design elements to express your unique intentions. At every step along the way you are participating, and letting me know when something is “off” or needs tweaking. The ceremony isn’t complete until it feels right to you!

  • No. Ceremony officiation is an integrated part of the ceremony design process, and is not offered as a separate service. If you have written the bones of your ceremony but feel like you would like help to take it to the next level of refinement, you can apply for the ceremony design & officiation package, and we will use the ceremony you have created as our jumping off point in our continuing ceremony design refinement process.
